Our main business is marine transportation business and vessel management business.
Marine Transportation Business
We carry coking coal and iron ore as steel-making raw materials and coal used for the electricity for the Kobe Steel, Ltd. We also carry coal for utility companies in Japan. Our main vessels are panamax bulkers and cape size bulkers loading cargo from Australia, Indonesia, Canada and other countries to Japanese ports.
Vessel Management Business
We manage vessels for Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line) and other owners as well as our owning tonnage.
The coal and iron ore which we carry are turned into steel materials at the steel mills and used in a wide range of industries such as automobiles, electrical equipment, construction, and shipbuilding.
