First Harvest of Vegetables from the Automated Cultivation Unit on Our Vessel Asahi Maru

Following our previous announcement on September 9, 2025, regarding the installation of an automated vegetable cultivation unit on our company vessel Asahi Maru, we are pleased to report that the first harvest took place on October 16—approximately two weeks after installation.

On that day, the unit’s tablet displayed the message “Try a taste!”, signaling that the vegetables were ready to be picked. Crew members promptly harvested a portion and tasted the fresh produce. Their feedback: “Freshly harvested vegetables enjoyed onboard are exceptional!”
