ESG Activity:The First "Ocean Class" in Kobe

Apr, 12th, 2024
On April 6th, we hosted an “Ocean Class”  for the first time at the Nadahama Science Square which is a facility for local community in Kobe, Japan operated by Kobe Steel, Ltd., one of our main customers. We helped local children and their parents make their own moving boats with readily available materials around us and also helped them think about the ocean environment problems. As part of our ESG activities, we have been conducting this event every year as volunteers since 2020, with the aim of deepening participants’ understanding and interest in the ocean and ships through experiential learning sessions. This is the 6th time the event has been held.
