Internet Access Now Available in Crew Cabins – Enhanced Connectivity with Starlink

Until now, internet access onboard was limited to shared spaces. We have now upgraded the network environment to allow crew members to use the internet from their individual cabins.

For seafarers engaged in long-term voyages, staying connected with family is a vital source of motivation that contributes to safe navigation. To support this, we have installed Starlink, which offers improved communication speed, and enabled private conversations with family members from within crew cabins. To ensure fair and planned usage of data, we have also introduced a Ticket System (see note below).

We will continue our efforts to enhance the onboard living environment for our crew members.

Note: What is the Ticket System?
A system in which crew members are issued tickets with a fixed data allowance, enabling internet access according to the amount of data specified.
