Voyage
When ships travel to places around the world to deliver the cargo, it is called a voyage.
The voyage from Japan to Australia or Canada takes 14–15 days. The voyage to Indonesia is a little shorter at 8–9 days.
When the wind blows over the ocean, it creates waves. As the wind blows harder, the waves become larger. The largest waves are bigger than even the ship and can measure about 10 meters high (as high as a 4-story building).
Ships are made of steel, so they do not break easily. However, the waves cause the ship to sway back and forth.
